http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2946610/Re_Dgen_or_DCG_to_play_with_Su#Post2946610[/url]]DGen generates dynamic missions for the player's flight and includes other aircraft & units that a player and his flight may encounter if following the pre-established flight plan (those that cross the flight path).Pros: easier on the cpu, lots of different campaigns available, ease of use.Cons: only a "glimpse" of the action in the theater at any given time, constraining, and not as truly dynamic as DCG.DCG is a dynamic battle simulator. It takes account all assets in the theater/map and actions for any or all of the units are engaged during any given mission. A flight can wander off a flight path and can witness potentially lots of other action as various units go about their assigned tasks regardless of player involvement (or flight path crossing).Pros: a truly dynamic simulation of the conflict and players get not only a feeling or sense of being involved in a larger conflict going on around them, they are by very nature of the DCG generator.Cons: harder on the cpu (much more things to render and track on any given mission (but it is scalable/adjustable)), a bit more complicated to use (but not that difficult - good documentation), and some generated missions may be quite boring (but many were in real life) - actually, the same could be said for DGen as well.
